2017 - 2018
This half term we have been creating our own experiments and drawing conclusions from the results. We started by investigating how contaminants in water effected growth. We learned that when salt and vinegar were present, it killed healthy plants or stopped them growing as well. We learned that is the reason water needs cleaning before being returned to rivers. Next we explored how effective different clay shapes were at floating. We had hoped to design the best boat but none of our ideas worked. Like all good scientists, we persisted and researched what other people tried. We will then try again and hopefully be more successful.
This half term Eco Council and Science Council will be involved in planning a Farmers Market, with a focus on growing our own produce.
