Curriculum Opportunities Encourage Good Citizenship
We have high academic expectations for all our children and strive for them to achieve their best. Education is so important for future success and we want to make sure that every child at Birchwood experiences a rich, broad and well balanced curriculum.
As well as growing academically, we also ensure that our curriculum supports children’s personal development. Our school culture and ethos enables all children to feel supported and safe. They consistently demonstrate consideration and respect for each other, our staff and for our school building, resources and environment. It is also important that through our curriculum work that our children grow into good citizens who make positive contributions to their local community. This week we received a lovely email from Deborah Sharp – Leisure and Community Project Officer for North Warwickshire, who had heard that a group of children from Birchwood had arranged to get together over the weekend to undertake some litter picking at Abbey Green Park.
