Primary Mental Health Team

Primary Mental Health Team

The Primary Mental Health Team (also referred to as RISE) work to provide advice, support and guidance to parents and those who work with children in Coventry and Warwickshire.

They offer Parent Information Sessions on a range of themes such as school refusal, anxiety, self harm, managing challenging behaviours, meeting sensory needs and supporting healthy emotional development to name just a few topics which have been covered.

These information sessions are a great opportunity to meet other parents as well as professionals and get information on practical strategies to support your child.

In addition to this one to one consultations can also be booked by parents.  These sessions, with a mental health practitioner will focus on parents specific concerns about their child.  They do not involve children directly, but recognise that as the people that know their children best, parents are well placed to support them and aims to equip them with the information, resources and strategies to do so.

A leaflet to find out more about the Primary Mental Health Team and how they could help you and your child can be found below including dates and how to book information for the Parent Information Sessions.
